Introduction of High-Pressure Filter Press
We designed a high-pressure round filter press that can bear high pressure as high as 2.0 MPa. This press can produce a very dry filter cake with very low moisture content. This design is based on the characteristics of wastewater and requirements of filter cake from the stone industry (marble, granite, etc.), kaolin, ceramic, and construction materials.
A high-pressure circular filter press is a machine that separates solid from liquid. It uses a circular filter plate and is used in the ceramic industry, stone wastewater treatment, kaolin, and building materials, among other things. Additionally, high pressure increases how quickly things can be processed, improves how efficiently people work, and reduces moisture in solid materials.
The filter plates of high-pressure filter presses are usually round. However, there are some square filter plates that measure 800 mm x 800 mm or 1250 mm x 1250 mm. The pressure can reach 0.8 – 1.0 MPa. Round filter plates are thicker than common plates. They are 60-70 mm thick.
High-Pressure Filter Press Filter Press Working Principle
The high-pressure round filter press uses the pressure difference on both sides of the filter cloth to separate solid from liquid. When it’s working, the compression device pushes the compression plate to press the filter plate and filter cloth between the compression plate and the thrust plate. This creates a closed filter chamber. After that, the material will enter each filter chamber through the feed hole on the feed pump and the thrust plate. As the material continues to enter, solid particles get trapped in the filter chamber and form a filter cake. When pressure is applied, the liquid seeps into the filter cake and filter cloth. It then flows out of the body through the liquid outlet hole.
